Teletherapy Assessment Program

Because the safety and well-being of our clients and staff is paramount, Forbes AAC is introducing a the Teletherapy Assessment Program (tap) to combat the spread of COVID-19 virus pandemic. This one hundred percent free service was engineered to help AAC professionals keep serving their clients and help them access the power of voice.

In this critical time, this safe and thorough method is to help AAC professionals perform critical AAC assessments as thoroughly as possible. The teletherapy assessment is performed using modern technology consisting of a HIPAA compliant video conferencing system loaded with the application to facilitate the assessment and a ProSlate 8 or 10, or a WinSlate with a specified AAC app. The 'tap' package arrives at the client’s location for the assessment ready for use based on a time agreed to by the Clinician, the ATS, and the client.

For this turn-key program, Forbes AAC provides tech support as needed, cleaning and sterilization of all hardware components, a reset of the AAC device making for the ultimate ‘ease-of-use’ process.
