We have an immediate job opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience developing metal components that require CNC operations. The ideal candidate will also have experience designing, 3D modeling, and programming machining operations using Fusion 360 for a 3-axis Gantry Mill, 5-axis vertical mill, as well as CNC lathe. This candidate will be working with Engineers and part schematics/models to ensure thruput efficiency and optimization for machining projects.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to sign an Employment Agreement that includes a non-compete agreement, an assignment of inventions agreement, and a non-disclosure agreement. This offer is contingent upon the passing of a drug screen and a clear background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Design and model 3D components using Fusion 360.

• Create CNC programs in Fusion 360 for multi-feature parts utilizing 3-axis Gantry Mill, 5-axis Vertical Mill, and CNC Lathe (HAAS)

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models

• Adjust machine settings to the desired product specifications, as needed

• Operate CNC machines regularly

 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

• Experience in quality and manufacturing

• Strong attention to detail

• Deadline oriented

• Previous work experience with Fusion 360 CAM software, Programming/ Machining for 3-axis Gantry Mills, 5-Axis Vertical Mill, and Lathe

• Parts modeling (CAD) using fusion 360

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to walk throughout a manufacturing facility

• Ability to work overtime when required

• Must be a US Citizen (or currently permitted to work in the US)

 

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 40 hours per/week

• Daytime (8am-5pm EST)

 

Salary:

Forbes offers highly competitive compensation packages and pay will be determined based on qualification and previous experience. Range is $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year with bonus pay opportunity
