Overview of Goal-Writing for Pediatric AAC

Participants will learn about each of the domains under communicative competency (linguistic, operational, social, strategic) and why goals for each domain must be addressed for an AAC user to obtain communicative competence. Participants will learn about the core word approach and how to integrate this approach into goal-writing for pediatric AAC users. AAC considerations for SMART goals will be discussed.
