For this reason, we have teams of Assistive Technology Specialists and Funding Coordinators to manage specific geographic regions of the country.
Claude Henry, National Sales Manager
Claude returns to the Forbes AAC staff as National Sales Manager and will be covering the Assistive Technology Specialist role for the Florida territory. He will be providing ideas and guidance of the ATSs and internal staff. Previously, he was the Ohio representative and on worked on several AAC breakthroughs at Forbes AAC. During the pivotal growth phase, he provided integral feedback in the development of the TruHold Keyguards, the ComLink AAC device, which is the predecessor of the WinSlate line and other products.
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Claude graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Political Science. He has been in Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC), Environmental Control Units (ECUs) and Assistive Technology (AT) for 7 years.
With his considerable background in Environmental Control Systems, Claude has enjoyed a beneficial relationship with several U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs facilities. He fostered the many steps of help veterans including, designing, installing and configuration utilizing custom access methods like; touch, scan, switch, headmouse and eye tracking. Following through on the complete process, he has provided in-home training and implementation and ongoing supportive and maintenance making for a perfectly controlled environments for his clients.
His methodical sales and service approach has led him to successful positions in sales for Medical Equipment Sales, Capital Equipment Sales as well as Consumer Sales and fifteen years of Sales and Management experience. His licenses and certification include Conceptual Training through the Miller Heiman Group, Sales Negotiation through the Acclivus Corporation, and Strategic Selling through the Miller Heiman Group as well.
As if he was not busy enough at work, Claude is a father of four and a Scoutmaster, where he successfully completed Wood Badge Training, the Boy Scouts highest adult leadership training level one can attain. Claude also enjoys time around the house with various renovations and landscaping challenges.

Michelle Simpson - Funding Specialist
Michelle joined recently joined the Forbes AAC team in 2018. As a Funding Specialist, she works closely with caregivers, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other team members to get clients the equipment they need. Michelle is experienced in procuring funding throughout various regions of the country; she is an expert in processing authorizations and claims for Medicaid, managed care plans, private insurances and waiver programs.
Michelle and Claude work together to ensure that their clients get the AAC devices and accessories they need, as efficiently as possible.
