Introduction to Alternate Access Methods

Participants will learn about types of alternate access methods for accessing speech-generating devices (SGDs) for individuals with complex communication needs. Participants will learn about approaches to evaluating a communicator’s needs regarding alternate access methods and intervention considerations for patients of different ages and abilities will be discussed for each alternate access method.
