At Forbes AAC, we recognize the value of having individual points of contact while working through the process of procuring an AAC device. We believe it is critical to connect you with a team that specializes in your local region. For this reason, we have teams of Assistive Technology Specialists and Funding Coordinators to manage specific geographic regions of the country.
MST-SLP, ATP - Assistive Technology Specialist
Bridget is a speech-language pathologist and RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional. She received a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Bridget worked as an SLP in the Lakeville School District where she also led assistive technology initiatives in the district, was a member of the MN Assistive Technology Leadership Team, and started and hosted a South of the River AAC Support Group for parents.
Bridget went on to lead assistive technology projects and staff as Director of the Simon Technology Center at PACER Center, a non-profit parent advocacy center in Minnesota. In her role as Director of the Simon Technology Center, Bridget ran the Technology to Improve Kids’ Educational Success (TIKES) Project, a five-year OSEP funded grant focusing on assistive technology for children ages birth – 5. One of her strong interests in this project was teaching parents and professionals about the importance of early access to robust language for young children with communication disorders.

Kacey Schnieder - Funding Specialist
Kacey joined recently joined the Forbes AAC team in 2018. As a Funding Specialist, she works closely with caregivers, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other team members to get clients the equipment they need. Kacey is experienced in procuring funding throughout various regions of the country; she is an expert in processing authorizations and claims for Medicaid, managed care plans, private insurances and waiver programs.
Kacey and Kelly work together to ensure that their clients get the AAC devices and accessories they need, as efficiently as possible.
